Dear Designer,
I’m in the VERY begining stages of my design project and don’t know where to start. There are so many beautiful inspiration pictures online and so much to choose from. How do I pull it all together, stay in budget, and enjoy the process?
Dear Client,
Don’t stress – this is the BEST part of the process and with a few tips you’ll feel organized and your project will be underway!
STEP ONE
The best designs start with a vision. Collect those images and products you’ve been seeing on the internet by organizing them on a Pinterest Board. You can see a great example of one of our inspiration boards here.

STEP TWO
Once you have all of your favorites pinned choose your TOP 5 and create a board so they are all in one place. You should include images that represent style, color palettes, important design fetaures and any other favorites you find.

STEP THREE
Now make a list of everything you’ll need to select for your project. This is your action plan and if you’re feeling really abitious you can even assign budgets for each item.
I’ve been following this signature design process with my clients for years and, am confident you’ll feel more in control of your project when you do too.
Good luck!
