Before & After – La Canada Home

We’ve saved the best for last in this four-part series about the complete revamp of this La Canada home. In today’s post, we’ll take a closer look at the main living areas.

If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out the other articles on this home refresh. You can see the kitchen transformation here, the master bedroom transformation here, and the nursery transformation here

Before (with a few sneak peeks of Marina!)

As you can see above, the home included lots of color, bold accents, and eclectic artwork and furnishings. The family was going for an almost polar opposite look and feel. They wanted to come home to their California ranch and feel a sense of tranquility. Instead of bright and bold, they wanted neutral.

The after photos look like a totally different home! Although structurally there were no changes, it’s incredible the results you can achieve with a few simple changes.

We used neutral paint colors throughout the home to tone down the vibrant colors and create a more classic look.

We also went ahead with a complete furniture overhaul in these main living spaces. Doing so allowed us to give each room a refresh that will be stylish for years to come. Oh, and we think the dog is pretty happy too.

“Amy spent a lot of time getting to know us, our style and comfort level. We felt that we could totally trust that she would design something that was unique to our family, and she did just that.”
